Summary: The District was awarded a grant from the Placer County Air Pollution Control District for $140,977 to purchase one (1) low NOx school bus. This project is funded by the Carl Moyer Air Quality Program. The district is planning to purchase one (1) 2019 Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner C2 42-passenger bus totaling $142,769. The pricing for this bus is based on a formal bid process performed by the Hemet Unified School District and their awarded contract to Buswest on April 8, 2014. The awarded contract included a clause allowing other districts to receive the same pricing (i.e., a piggyback clause per PCC 20118).
